For the kids – try Sweet Pea in Weston
On the left, a ceramic mug with hoop designed by local 3rd grader, Max.  Put a little fun back into your meals. Let the marshmallows, M&M’s, oyster crackers fly through the hoop. It is fun for kids and adults. Originally made in art class, the mug was entered in and won a product innovation contest held at Fenway Park.  Maxdonates 5% of the profits to charities supporting dyslexia research and awareness.  Way to go, Max!  Don’t miss the great selection of puzzles –entertainment for the whole family!  Once the puzzle is done, there are fun things to spot and find.

More for the Kids – Wellesley Toy Shop
NFL Game Day is a great game for the football enthusiast on your list.    It’s also perfect for young kids just learning about football – all they need is a little bit of luck and a dose of strategy to win.   With the Plush Craft Personalized Pillow, no sewing is required.  The kit comes with a stuffed pillow and a template from which to pick whichever letter they’d like.   Personal favorites of mine are the Night Zone Light Up Sports games (basketball or football).  The kids can continue playing outside, even when it gets dark out, with these “super-bright glow” toys.

For the men – check out London Harness and Tumi in Wellesley

He’ll brag to his buddies about this very cool leather money clip wallet featuring an authentic piece of a Red Sox game ball.  Just enter the ID# provided and learn the history of the ball – when it was used, where and by whom.  Does your man need to upgrade his travel kit?  You can’t go wrong with this sophisticated doppler kit, roomy enough to carry all his grooming needs.

For the woman who has everything – Isabel Harvey in Wellesley

This vintage inspired “Twiggy” handbag is the perfect accessory for anyone looking to add some drama to her wardrobe this Holiday season.   Pick from the 5 colors at IH and you can be sure to turn heads with this edgy bag from B-low the belt.   You can never have too much cashmere!  These cashmere travel wraps are so versatile they can easily go from daytime casual to dressy evening while keeping you warm and stylish at the same time.  This is the perfect year-round layering piece and is available in many colors.

For the hostess with the mostest – Wasik’s in Wellesley
No gathering is complete without wine, cheese and accoutrements from Wasik’s cheese shop.  You can also pick up caviar, olives, chocolates and home made desserts – there is so much to choose from!  My favorite is the Curry Chutney Apricot Cheese Spread…, love it down to the last bite!

For the bookworm in the family – stop by Wellesley Booksmith

Unbroken is an incredible and engaging story about the life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner during World War II.  Angelina Jolie’s film, based on the story, comes out on Christmas Day.  If you haven’t seen Gone Girl yet, you should read the book first – a somewhat dark and disturbing story with a great ending.  Amy Poehler’s Yes Please is hilarious and candid.  She talks about growing up outside of Boston, her time spent in NYC and her reflections on Hollywood.    One more for the kids – The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is geared towards 8-12 year olds.  This is #9 in the series – overall these books are interesting and full of adventure.

No reason to travel very far for your holiday shopping – our local towns and merchants are the perfect resource for all your gifting needs!
