Out and About – The Weston Edition

You heard about Needham and Wellesley, now it is time for us to give you a glimpse of our favorite spots around the beautiful town of Weston. Although it is located conveniently outside of Boston, the lovely suburb has much to do in the town itself.

In the town of Weston, there are some unique fresh food stops that locals love to visit.

1. Dumpling Daughter

This is one of the best spots for authentic Chinese food. A BYOB spot, Dumpling Daughter offers food ranging from rice bowls and noodles to salads and dumplings. They are also a nut free zone, which is a great accommodation for families with a member that has an allergy. Dumpling Daughter offers dine in and a takeout menu as well.

2. Brother’s Market

Weston’s local grocery store but so much more! Not only do they have great options for your weekly groceries, but they also offer a variety of fresh foods. Stop in to grab a quick bite during a busy day or enjoy your lunch by the cafe at the table and chairs. Brother’s Market also offers a catering menu.

3. Off Center

Off Center is a small cafe located conveniently in the center of Weston. Their menu offers breakfast and lunch selections, ranging from sandwiches and salads to daily prepared foods. The cafe also offers fresh baked goods and coffee.

4. Land’s Sake Farm

Land’s Sake Farm has a wonderful farmstead that offers seasonal produce that is harvested daily. The vegetables and crops are grown on their farm, located in Weston allowing for a quick stop to stock up on fresh produce.

Along with the great food options Weston has to offer, there are also many community activities to attend.

1. Spellman Museum

The Spellman Museum teaches visitors about the history of stamps and the Postal Service. They offer education programs, school field trips and visitations for kids. In addition to this, Spellman Museum also offers philatelic research and publications, evaluation and appraisal services, buying/selling, Philatelic Gift Shop and the sale of prostate stamps and other philatelic material.

2. Weston Garden Club

The Weston Garden Club is focused on the love and knowledge of gardening. They work toward maintaining natural resources through club projects. The club also offers programs for people to enjoy such as; a tour of public gardens in the area or an informational talk.

3. Women’s Community League

This group brings women together in the community and provides them with social and educational opportunities. The club often hosts events, some including; “dinner in denim”, “dining around”, “opening coffee” and many more. A membership to the group is open to all women who currently live in Weston.

4. Friday Night Flicks

This event is free and open to the public. Hosted on Weston’s Town Green, come check out a movie streamed on a giant screen. The dates vary, so check out the website to find a time that works for you. The Town Hall restrooms are open for use and popcorn is provided while supplies lasts.
