New Year, New Kitchen

A kitchen is still a place where everyone likes to gather.  Here are a few renovations that you are sure to like.

Here, the lower cabinet boxes were preserved (replaced doors and drawers) and the uppers were rebuilt, while all the cabinets were professionally painted.  The owners decided to vary the height and depth of the cabinets to give it more of a custom look.   Countertops were replaced with Kashmir White granite.  Appliances were updated, subway tile backsplash and dark wood flooring added.

The major renovation below, in New York City, helps this kitchen look so much brighter than before and promises to add a little more joy to cooking!  The owner kept the layout (a big savings) but updated everything else.  Removing the curtain and adding glass doors contribute to a more open feeling.

This new clutter free kitchen is hardly recognizable!  The owners really added value to this home with a superb renovation.  Something you don’t often see in new kitchens?  They added a kitchen table, instead of an island.

I wonder what you think about the 3 looks; which one is your favorite? And, given the choice, would you choose the table or the island?
