Often people dream about what their perfect house would be, if money was no object. Whether it be the size or the details that make it on your wishlist, everyone has that imaginary home planned.

Let me take you for a walk through my fantasy home. If I had the opportunity to design without limitations, I wouldn’t miss a thing. The first item on my dream house checklist would obviously be location. I would choose somewhere close to everything I need, but in a way that still feels distant and quiet.
When you walk into my home, I would like a designated mudroom. This would be the spot for all of shoes and sports gear. We could fit everything my children need for games and would be able to grab as they head out the door.

I would love a home with beautiful large windows, accompanied by window seats and a reading nook. A spot I can enjoy a rainy day with a nice book or spend my mornings sipping coffee basking in the sunshine.

High ceilings would be a must. This style ceiling makes any room in the house feel more spacious and airy. Paired with large windows, the room will hold large amounts of light throughout.

Next would be the laundry room. Every mother dreams of a spot they can “peacefully” catch up on the never ending laundry. I think about having the room on the 2nd floor. It would have a sink and the perfect size folding area.

When planning the best possible master bedroom it would include large master closets. Perfectly designed to fit whatever I may need. A spot designated for shoes, bags and clothes.

The bathroom in the master room would have 2 separate vanities rather than one long, connected counter. The separate vanities make the bathroom appear more clean and organized. There would be a water closet for a sleek, modern look to be created.

Also upstairs, I would love to have a newly trending pajama room. It would be a spot my family can roll out of bed and head over to spend time together before the chaos of the outside world comes into play. I imagine a cozy room with a large couch, a lot of blankets, maybe a television for movies and many pillows.

If we head back downstairs to the kitchen, there would be a pot filler behind the stove that would filter hot and cold water. Not only is this a neat design, it would also be very useful. Also somewhere in the kitchen would be a walk-in food pantry. Stocked with all my family’s favorite food and snacks, a spacious room would allow for extreme organization.

Downstairs would be my at home gym. Filled with all of my favorite equipment, this would be the spot I could escape and get a great workout, without evening having to leave my own home.

In addition, I dream of a dedicated home office with built-ins and privacy from everywhere else in the house. With having a job that always requires you to be ready to work at anyplace / anytime, this room would allow even more productivity.

A secret room is also something I have imagined. Maybe hidden behind a wall or down an unnoticeable staircase, the idea of an unknown spot is exciting. Maybe I would use it as a reading area or just a place for storage, I would love to have an area only select few know to exist.

The next room I would add into my dream home would be a theater. With a massive screen and comfortable chairs this would be an amazing hangout spot. I would love surround sound, loud speakers to amplify the movie even more.

The backyard would be unbelievable. With a beautiful and spacious yard, I would also add in a sport court and outdoor kitchen. It would create a wonderful spot to host events and welcome friends and family.

Throughout the house, Sonos would be installed so that while hosting, music of choice can be played for everyone to hear. I would also have a home security system installed to always feel as safe as possible in my home.
Finally, would be the three bay garage. Inside the garage would have plenty of room to store our cars and some other belongings. We would add in an electric car charger and Garage Tek for all outdoor and sports equipment. There would be a separate entrance into the basement from the garage, allowing for two options to enter the house.
