Happy New Year everyone! The snow is melting (for now), the sun is making a valiant attempt to stay with us, and it’s time to come out of hibernation. Well, here is a great reason to venture out. On January 30, an Italian inspired dinner is being held at the Josiah Smith Tavern in Weston Center. This should be a fun night, and a great opportunity to get together with friends and neighbors.
The Josiah Smith Tavern and Old Library have been the talk of Weston for many years. The controversy over the preservation of these historic buildings has brought out many emotions among Weston residents. Just two weeks ago, the town held a “public listening session” to discuss ideas about the future of the tavern/library (Town Hall meeting on fate of Tavern and Old Library). The Barn has been used for a variety of events over the years.
With the Barn as your backdrop, this night would be a great opportunity to discuss with your friends, family and children the history of these buildings and the town. It promises to be an enjoyable night of laughter, conversation, delicious food and dessert. Let’s make this night an annual tradition!
View the details for the dinner at the Josiah Smith Tavern on Boston.com. You can even purchase your tickets online. For Adults, don’t forget to bring your own beverage. There will be a beverage provided for the kids. Buon Appetito!
Unfortunately, the dinner at the Josiah Smith Tavern has been cancelled. Guess that means, we will all have to stay home in hibernation and cook. I will keep you posted on upcoming events in Weston.
