We are approaching the holiday season yet again, a great time to get involved with your community and help those in need. We have put together a list of many organizations that could use your helping hands this time of year!

Weston Council on Aging

Whether you would like to support the local elders with help driving, activities (such as knitting), or just providing them comfort, Weston Council on Aging will take your help.

Circle of Hope

With their mission being to provide clothing, toiletries and necessities to homeless shelters in the Boston and Metro West area, Circle of Hope is in need of sorters and drivers.

Natick Service Council

Natick Service Council works tirelessly to help those in the Natick area going through a hardship. They always welcome volunteers who are willing to stock shelves, help clients grocery shop, driving to pick up donations and more.

Newton Food Pantry

There are many times available for volunteers to come and help out with miscellaneous tasks at Newton Food Pantry. Volunteer tasks range from helping sort food to home deliveries to elders that have a hard time leaving the house.

Wellesley Food Pantry

Wellesley Food Pantry offers many different opportunities to get involved in help. There is the option to volunteer consistently, one time or host a food drive.

Wellesley Turkey Trot

Spend your Thanksgiving supporting local runners and volunteering at the Turkey Trot! There are different volunteer options available.

Wellesley Council on Aging

At Wellesley Council on Aging you can volunteer as a driver, to help with lunches or special events, music or teaching! Plenty of opportunities for all.

Needham Community Council

Needham Community Council has a variety of choices for volunteer opportunities, which allows for anyone who is interested to get involved with something they are passionate about. This nonprofit offers opportunities surrounding their food pantry, thrift store, ESL programs, Child Assault Prevention and many more.

Urban Edge Turkey Tuesday / Annual Toy Drive

Urban Edge offers support options throughout the year but these two are certainly the biggest. With these two programs, you have the opportunity to support families in need. For Turkey Tuesday, families that cannot afford to have Thanksgiving will receive a turkey so that they can also enjoy this season. For the Toy Drive, you can assist in distributing toys or setting / cleaning up.

Food for Free

This wonderful program works to provide those in need with healthy foods, rather than letting them go to waste. Volunteer opportunities within this program include office work, deliveries, special events, help growing vegetables and more.

ABCD Action

ABCD Action has the main goal of helping low-income residents succeed to their best potential. They are looking for volunteers that can help with tutoring, career mentoring, special events in more.

Women’s Lunch Place

Providing a safe space for women in need, this day shelter gives all of their energy into making women feel safe and welcome. Women’s Lunch Place is looking for volunteers that can help with meal prep, fundraising and more.

Haley House Soup Kitchen

Haley House offers homemade breakfast for men that are either homeless or food insecure. They are looking for volunteers who can help with breakfast, elder meals and the food pantry.
