Designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent use their fabulous skills to help homeowners that are currently renovating their homes manage the process a little better. These homeowners have begun a renovation process and suddenly find themselves with fear that there is no end to the tunnel. While transforming all of these spaces into their clients’ dreams, they are also managing to raise their children. This show is not your typical design show, the Reality TV Stars open up their personal lives to the world – giving you a bit more entertainment than the real estate element.
2. “Fixer Upper” – HGTV

Everybody loves Chip and Joanna and the entire Gaines Family. Well-known fixer-uppers, this family takes an outdated home and turns it into a buyer’s dream spot. Magnolia Homes is their design business in Waco, Texas where Chip handles the construction and Joanna drives the design plans. At times buyers may not be able to see the potential in the homes the couple shows them but after some convincing and guidance, they take a leap of faith together with the end result of a fantasy home. Let us not forget, Chip and Joanna are starting their own show on Discovery Channel, where we will hopefully catch a glimpse at their partnership with Jennifer Lopez and her new beach house!
3. “Restored by the Fords” – HGTV

For some of us it is hard to imagine working with your sibling every day but this brother and sister is one dynamic duo. Steve and Leanne Ford put their minds together to rejuvenate dated homes and construct updated living spaces in Pittsburgh. Similar to “Fixer Upper”, Leanne does the designing, while Steve manages the construction of the homes. The brother and sister work side by side to maximize the full potential of these houses.
4. “Windy City Rehab” – HGTV

In her hometown of Chicago, Alison Victoria left her long-running series “Kitchen Crashers” to pursue her dream of flipping houses. Working with contractor, Donovan Eckhardt, Alison has nothing but ambition to create luxury homes. Taking an investment in each property that they chooses to fix up, you will be on the edge of your seat hoping the homes sell to the ideal buyer.
5. “One of a Kind” – HGTV

Interior Designer, Grace Mitchell, does not decorate homes in the ordinary way. Grace takes the stories of her clients and designs their homes based on that. This show displays many unique ideas, differing very much so from the norm. Some of the creations in the past have included love notes turned into wallpaper and a ceiling built to match the night of her clients’ wedding sky. Grace is fearless when it comes to transforming someone’s home.
